Pacific Sky School in San Diego, California
The Cultures of Thinking Summit is hosted by Del Mar Union School District at Pacific Sky School in San Diego, which embodies what it means to make thinking valued, visible, and actively promoted as part of every student’s school experience, every day. Pacific Sky School is an award-winning building for its innovative design, which grew out of the DMUSD’s commitment to creating a learning environment that truly fosters a culture of thinking for both students and teachers. Its innovative learning studios and learning commons areas provide the perfect venue for CoT Summit participants to learn, discuss, and explore. The school’s setting in a local green belt affords calming views as we dine al fresco in San Diego’s beautiful climate.
Del Mar is a tiny, charming beach town north of San Diego. As this is California, you will need to have your own transportation or plan on heavy rideshare use to get anywhere. Our summit site is not in the town of Del Mar proper, for example. We strongly recommend a car rental as your most economical ground transportation option. Pacific Sky is approximately 7 miles from Del Mar Village, 10 miles from La Jolla, and 23 miles from San Diego Airport.
Flexible seating, comfy corners, bean bag chairs, and learning nooks are great for all learners.
Learning Studios connect to a shared learning commons area, allowing learners to find a spot that best facilitates their learning.
